The event brought together over 500 companies from 50 countries to showcase sustainable practices throughout the food chain, from agriculture to supply chain innovation.

Objectives of the Event
The goal of Gulfood Green was to promote sustainability in all its dimensions, with a focus on food production, improved nutrition, and new technologies like artificial intelligence and smart agriculture. Global participation allowed for critical discussions, networking, and showcasing of groundbreaking innovations.

Through the Catalonia space, Prodeca positioned Catalonia as a leading region in sustainability and high-quality “green” products. The initiative highlighted the sustainable production values of Catalonia, reinforcing its presence as a global model in the sector.
Activities and Impact
The event featured activities like the “Green Shoots Start-up Pitch Competition” to support emerging start-ups in sustainable food and agriculture with a $50,000 prize. The Gulfood Green Terra Awards recognized pioneers in sustainability across the global food and beverage chain. With the participation of stakeholders like Switch, Intertek, Silal, JAFZA, and thought leadership from KPMG, Gulfood Green established a critical platform for setting new sustainability standards in the global food industry.
