On December 10, New York hosted the Catalan Food Christmas Tasting at the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE). Organized by Prodeca and the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia to the United States, the event was designed as a Christmas-themed showroom and culinary workshop led by Catalan chef Alba Sunyer.
This exclusive tasting experience brought the authentic flavors of Catalan Christmas to a carefully selected audience of 70 food industry professionals from the region. Attendees included distributors, wholesalers, retailers, chefs, sommeliers, restaurant and hotel purchasing managers, caterers, and key media representatives in the agri-food and gastronomy sectors.
Each participating company had its own exhibition table, where they presented their products, offered tastings, and engaged with industry professionals. Each table was clearly marked with signage and featured a QR code directing visitors to the importer’s or Catalan company’s website.
A total of 20 Catalan companies took part in this initiative, including 11 wineries and 9 multi-product food producers, showcasing the excellence of Catalonia’s agri-food industry in the U.S. market.
